Planning (and cooperation) Matters

LB Ports compete for maritime business but cooperate on envi- ronmental issues since; after all, they are right next to each other.
The 2017 Clean Air Action Plan Update set a goal for the Port of Long Beach to transition terminal equipment to zero emissions by 2030 and on-road trucks by 2035. The Port received nearly $80 million in total grant funding from the California Energy Com- mission (CEC) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to proceed with six zero emission and advanced energy demon- stration projects.
